WILMINGTON, North Carolina
- UNCW sophomore Aerial Chatman was named Colonial Athletic Association
Athlete-of-the-Week after winning both the Triple and Long Jumps last weekend
at the Charlotte Invitational.
Chatman won the Triple Jump with a distance of 14.95 meters
and added a win in the Long Jump with a mark of 7.55 meters.
Chatman, who hails from Angier, N.C., leads the CAA in the
Triple Jump and his mark from the Charlotte Invitational in the Long Jump was
the second longest by a CAA competitor this season. Nationally, he ranks 31st
on the NCAA's Long Jump qualifying list and is 47th on the Triple Jump list.
The Seahawks head to the Penn Relays this weekend before
gearing up for the CAA Championships on May 4-5, in Fairfax, Va.
