Ranked for the sixth straight week and the seventh time this season, the Seahawks posted home victories over Georgia State and Northeastern last week to reach the 20-win plateau for the third time in program history. The two wins last week also secured Head Coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke's squad a first-round bye in the upcoming 2011 Virginia 529 College Savings Plan Colonial Athletic Association Women's Basketball Championship, a first for the program since the league expanded to 12 teams in 2005-06.

The CAA maintains a strong presence in the Mid-Major Poll as the Seahawks are one of three CAA teams ranked in the weekly listing that includes team's from 22 Division I Conferences. League-leading James Madison moved up one spot to eighth as it extended its winning streak to 12 games while Old Dominion dropped three spots this week to 14^th as it finished the week with a 1-1 record. Virginia Commonwealth finds itself just outside the poll as it is fourth among the teams also receiving votes.

UNCW (20-6; 12-3 CAA) is back in action Thursday with a 7 p.m. contest at Towson.
