Seahawks Dominate RBC Tennis

      WILMINGTON, N.C. - UNCW's men sailed through the tournament unbeaten in singles and doubles and combined with the Seahawk women for five titles as the UNCW Collegiate Tennis Invitational presented by RBC Wealth Management drew to a close Sunday at the Country Club of Landfall's Cliff Drysdale Center.

      Following a brief rain delay, sophomore Kosta Blank got the day started off on a winning note by cruising past Campbell's Daniel Kaniewski, 7-5, 6-0, in the B Flight final in front of an appreciative crowd at stadium court.

      The Men's A Flight finale was an All-UNCW affair as seniors Michael Pereira and Kinshuk Sharma went head-to-head in a nailbiter. Pereira finally prevailed, 5-7, 6-4, 10-7, to capture the title.

      On the women's side, junior Christina Lee fell, 6-3, 6-2, to Furman's Monica Arguello, the top seed in the draw, in the A1 Flight championship match.

      In other matches, senior Lindsay Leblang outlasted Furman's Susan Bitetti, 6-7 (0), 6-3,10-8, in the A2 Flight back draw, Also, Kelly Cameron topped Furman's Michelle Stanford, 3-6, 6-2, 10-4, and Christina Riley routed Furman's Olivia Maurice, 6-2, 6-2, in B1 singles matchups.
