KNOXVILLE, TENN. -
UNCW closed out its appearance at the 44th Annual Sea Ray Relays, setting a
pair of school relay records on Saturday at La Porte Stadium.
Both records came on the women's side as the 4x200 relay of
Alexis Kauffman, Shanelle Foster, Keona Eaton and Jania Bogle finished fifth
with a time of 1:38.37. The same relay team also set a season-best in the 4x100
when it clocked in at 46.14 and finished fifth.
Later in the meet, the 4x1500 relay of Lindsay Ester,
Melissa Prasnikar, Samantha Mifsud and Kathleen Casto placed third in a time of
19:34.26.
The men added a second-place finish in the 4x1500 relay and
a third-place finish in the 4x200. The distance relay of Jeff Naro, Kelly Carmichael, Ross Monroe and Cam Shaver posted a time of 16:23.59 in the 4x1500
relay. In the sprint relay, Jeremy Johnson, Justin Prevette, Jordan Reed and
Connor Brooks was third with a time of 1:25.81.
The Seahawks will next compete in the Charlotte Invitational
on Apr. 17.
