WILMINGTON, N.C. - UNCW returns to action this weekend when the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational gets underway on Friday at Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Last time out for the Seahawks was their own UNCW Seahawk Invitational that saw the women win their meet while the men finished second.

Highlighting the weekend performances for the Seahawks were Shanelle Foster and Justin Prevette, whose outings in the Long Jump put them near the top of the lists for the NCAA First Round meets later this spring. Foster recorded a jump of 19-1 1/2 and is ranked second in the East Region while Prevette.

Friday's activities begin at 10 a.m. with the Decathlon and Heptathlon, field events get underway at 11 a.m. and the track portion of the schedule starts at 3:30 p.m.
