WILMINGTON, N.C. - All-Americans
Christie Schreckengost, Anna Raynor and Penn Relay champion Michael McDuffie
have been named to the Colonial Athletic Association's Silver Anniversary men's
and women's track and field teams.
Schreckengost was a three-time CAA Javelin champion, having won the title
from 2002 through 2004. In 2004, she was the ECAC Champion and an All-East
performer. While excelling on the field, Schreckengost also turned in a
tremendous effort in the classroom, earning Academic All-America accolades on
two occasions.
Raynor was a three-time All-America honoree for the Seahawks and still
holds seven school records between the indoor and outdoor seasons. She was also
a three-time CAA Athlete-of-the-Year (2005-07), winning three consecutive
Javelin titles and setting the conference record with a mark of 170-1 in 2006.
Raynor placed third in the Javelin in 2007 at the U.S. Track and Field
Championships.
McDuffie was the Seahawks only representative on the men's side. The
Raeford, N.C., native was a three-time CAA Triple Jump champion from 1996-98
and still holds the school record in the event in both the indoor and outdoor
seasons. He was a five-time All-East honoree in the Triple Jump and claimed the
event championship at the prestigious Penn Relays in 1997.
