UNCW Places Three On CAA Silver Anniversary Team

WILMINGTON, N.C. - All-Americans Christie Schreckengost, Anna Raynor and Penn Relay champion Michael McDuffie have been named to the Colonial Athletic Association's Silver Anniversary men's and women's track and field teams.

Schreckengost was a three-time CAA Javelin champion, having won the title from 2002 through 2004. In 2004, she was the ECAC Champion and an All-East performer. While excelling on the field, Schreckengost also turned in a tremendous effort in the classroom, earning Academic All-America accolades on two occasions.

Raynor was a three-time All-America honoree for the Seahawks and still holds seven school records between the indoor and outdoor seasons. She was also a three-time CAA Athlete-of-the-Year (2005-07), winning three consecutive Javelin titles and setting the conference record with a mark of 170-1 in 2006. Raynor placed third in the Javelin in 2007 at the U.S. Track and Field Championships.

McDuffie was the Seahawks only representative on the men's side. The Raeford, N.C., native was a three-time CAA Triple Jump champion from 1996-98 and still holds the school record in the event in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. He was a five-time All-East honoree in the Triple Jump and claimed the event championship at the prestigious Penn Relays in 1997.
