WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Freshman Nathan Walters was named Colonial Athletic Association Swimmer-of-the-Week after an impressive outing at the Virginia Tech Invitational over the weekend.

Walters posted a pair of second-place finishes and a fifth-place showing to lead the Seahawks.

The rookie from Cary, N.C., finished second in the 200 and the 500 Free Freestyle events with times of 1:41.95 and 4:34.43, respectively.

In the 1650 Freestyle, Walters finished fifth with a time of 16:00.34.

The Seahawks have begun preparations for the CAA Championships on Feb. 22-25, in Fairfax, Va.
